hello

I—Luna (she/they)—am a white settler living on unceded Anishinaabe territories of Odawa, Bodéwadmiké (Potawatomi), and Meškwahki·aša·hina (Fox) people also known as Southern Michigan. I offer conflict counseling, facilitation, and education based in anti-oppressive and transformative practices (see below). I am an abolitionist, a geek, a creative, and an aquarius sun & cancer moon. I like to snuggle up on the couch to watch birds, play with dogs, and watch or read sci-fi/fantasy + spec fic. I live with depression and chronic pain. I live for my friends (canine + human), long hikes, the sun shining through the trees during the golden hour, the moon, and better worlds.

Conflict Counseling

Conflict counseling is a space to process a single conflict or patterns that have occurred in your relationships. The primary focus of counseling is to understand the dynamics at play in your relationships, organizations, and community: how you're impacted, what part you play, and what possibilities there are. Counseling can help to build self-awareness, perspective, skills, understanding, healing, analysis, or strategy (based on your needs). Email me to schedule an initial conversation.

Workshops

I teach several practice-based courses on anti-oppressive approaches to conflict including: Conflict 101, Conflict Transformation, Conflict Communication, and Understanding De/escalation. I can host these workshops virtually or in-person for private or public audiences. To see information about past workshops, click the link below. To invite me to facilitate a workshop, email me with a bit about the group and the group's needs.

Mediation + Facilitation

Conflict facilitation is an opportunity for people to talk about a conflict and find a mutually beneficial way forward through an anti-oppressive approach. Facilitation can be for collective understanding, healing, problem solving, decision-making, repair, amends, or something else. Mediation (up to 4 people) or group (5+) facilitation can be arranged. Email me with basic information and we'll schedule an initial intake.

Resources

I create and compile resources related to anti-oppression, conflict transformation, abolition, and more. I have designed materials for my own courses, for social media, and for other organizations. You can see some of those resources at the link below. If there are resources you need compiled, designed, or co-created, email me with the details and we can determine if I'm a good fit for your project.

All of my work is offered on a sliding scale ($50 - $130/hour) based on the participants' income or budget and the complexity of the project. We come to an agreement based on a clear decision-making guide.
